| Welcome The island of Agistri is a rare natural beauty - with crystal clear waters, pine covered mountains and a sense of 'real' Greece that is increasingly hard to find. Unspoilt, yet close enough to Athens to make a day trip possible, Agistri still remains a peaceful and magical sanctuary. There is an atmosphere of friendliness and belonging at this unique family run hotel, which has resulted in a long list of visitors who return year after year from countries all over the world. The Hotel in Agistri Hotel Milos Agistri is the pride of the Logothetis family who have looked after guests on Agistri for almost 50 years. Beginning as a small taverna next to the old mill, it is now a 30 room hotel with a swimming pool with its own breakfast, lunch and evening bar. This charming hotel is situated just above the picturesque harbour of Milos village. The rooms have spectacular sea views, each has its own bathroom, air-conditioning, small fridge, TV and private balcony. Breakfast may be taken at the attractive pool bar, which also serves lunches of luscious freshly made salads, Greek specialities and delicious home-made cakes. The traditional unspoilt village of Milos is a delight to stroll around, its crumbling old stone houses nestled in amongst the twisting alleys and narrow streets adorned with bourganvillia and honeysuckle. There are plenty of local beaches and, if you are feeling more adventurous, it is possible to hire the hotel’s private water taxi ‘Jamaica’ for trips around Agistri or to some of the uninhabited islands nearby. Milos village offers a wide selection of tavernas, restaurants, bars and even a dance club. The hotel’s pool bar is also a wonderful place to relax and unwind during the balmy summer evenings, catching the sunset or allowing the stars and the twinkling lights of Aegina to captivate the imagination. Activities on Agistri Island Here on this unspoilt tranquil island you need never feel guilty if you simply like to lounge by the pool or relax on the beach. However, there are plenty of things to do if you are feeling energetic. The sea is excellent for snorkelling and swimming, or you could try your luck at octopus fishing. Agistri island can be explored by boat, cycle or moped, and walking is a treat along the coast or through the pine forests and olive groves. We, at the hotel, organise boat trips around Agistri and the neighbouring islands. Our fun day trips include lots of swimming, snorkelling and great food. We can also assist with excursions to Athens, Epidavros, Myceane, Aegina, Poros, Hydra and Spetses, organising transport and accommodation where required. Getting to our Agistri Hotel Getting to our Agistri Hotel is quite straightforward and part of the island experience. Athens airport has easy connections by bus, metro or taxi to the port of Piraeus.
